LOVEcoast: Winners of this years Play Tall Tree Contest

Known for their upbeat nature and roaring good times, LOVECoast is a young band with old soul. These young BC artists are making waves show by show, bringing an exciting mix of alternative R&B/soul, jazz and infectious pop to the stage. LOVECoast pulls inspiration from classic legends such as Otis Redding and Ella Fitzgerald, and applies it to their modern influences, such as Lake Street Dive, Snarky Puppy and Hey Ocean!, to create their unique sound.
Squamish locals Scott Verbeek and Danielle Sweeney started LOVECoast in June 2013. Not long after Andrew Fraser and Jesse McNeill completed LOVECoast’s sound. Their first single “My Ghost” landed them 3rd place in the 2013 Squamish Valley Music Festival’s “Win the Stage” contest. LOVECoast then released their self-titled debut EP, produced by Rick Salt at Lois Lane studios in Nanaimo, BC.

Now based in Vancouver BC, LOVECoast has opened for party band Five Alarm Funk at the World Ski & Snowboard Festival, won a spot at Tall Tree Music Festival 2014, made the Regional top 10 in CBC’s Searchlight, played numerous gigs around BC and exceeded every expectation they had for this year. After much anticipation LOVECoast will be releasing an EP this fall. Their passion lies in their love for music, artistry, and community, making LOVECoast a must see up and coming band.
